Turning Stumbling
Blocks into Stepping Stones
| Few Journeys through life are uninterrupted. Take these
pauses as a time to reflect, refresh, and recharge~~and they cease to
be perceived as interruptions. |
Hello, I’m

Individual
Counseling
Individual
counseling services are available
for
adults, adolescents and children. Clinical
services are based on the client’s needs.
I primarily work with individuals who struggle with depression,
anxiety,
anger and substance abuse issues.
Family
Counseling
Family counseling examines family
communication
and seeks to improve the interactions between family members by
improving
communication, learning effective discipline methods and developing a
spirit of
cooperation among family members.
Counseling
Philosophy / Strategies
I accept only clients in my practice who I
believe
have the capacity to resolve their own issues with my assistance. I believe as people become more aware of
themselves and their problems, they can develop a capacity to change. This capacity to change is based on the
premise that human behavior is an interaction between biological,
psychological
and sociological forces. Change is a
process that sometimes takes a long time to achieve.
Some clients may only need a few sessions to
achieve their goals, while others require months or even years of
counseling. I will be supportive no matter
the time frame.
I enlist a variety of
strategies in order to
facilitate change. These strategies
may
include: talk therapy, art therapy*,
sand tray, role play, parenting skills, and much more.
HEALING
MANDALAS – Mandala art (circular forms) is a means to self-expression
and a
powerful guide to what we are experiencing at a given time. Some see the mandala as a source of
healing
and an effective to clear blocks to peace and calm allowing us to
reconnect to
the center within all of us.
